Philadelphia, January 8, 2020 — Brownstein Group has become an official member of Worldwide Partners Inc. (WPI), one of the largest networks of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies in the world.
As the longest-running independent agency in Philadelphia, Brownstein Group is a natural addition to the global network. Since 1938, WPI has built a roster of the best and brightest owner-led, independent agencies throughout Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, Latin America, and North America.
Brownstein Group, the only Philadelphia agency in the network, has retained a foothold in the city since its founding in 1964 and has grown into one of the best-known integrated agencies in the region. Today, the agency’s client roster includes multiple global brands such as Saint-Gobain North America, ACI Worldwide, and DuPont. Now, as a WPI partner, Brownstein Group has access to more than 70 agencies globally to help serve clients’ needs in markets outside the US and to open new collaboration opportunities with partners from around the world.
“We are joining a group of like-minded agencies with our same entrepreneurial drive and spirit,” said Erin Allsman, Managing Director of Brownstein Group. “But our unique background and experience as an integrated shop in Philadelphia will also bring new perspectives to Worldwide Partners. We’re looking forward to collaborating and growing with other partner agencies, while taking our expertise and business strategy global.”
The announcement comes after a successful year of growth at Brownstein Group, which saw the agency engage major local and national clients, including Yards Brewing Company and TruGreen. The agency has also been recognized for its outstanding creative work in 2019, with a gold prize at the American Advertising Awards (formerly known as the ADDYs) and its first Clio Award: a bronze win at the Clio Health Awards for work with Inspira Health.
Brownstein Group also won a record number of awards and accolades for its public relations and social media work this year. These include an Honorable Mention for Small Agency of the Year at the PRNEWS Platinum PR Awards, as well as winning entries at PR Daily’s Digital Marketing & Social Media Awards and PR Daily’s Corporate Social Responsibility Awards.
WPI serves as a hub to harness the creativity, local expertise, and resources of partner agencies to solve problems for clients on local, regional, and international projects. It also serves as a platform for top global brands to access best-in-class, entrepreneurially driven agencies steeped in local knowledge in all markets where they engage WPI agencies.
“We prize our local roots and independence, but have always had the mindset of a global agency,” said Marc Brownstein, President and CEO of Brownstein Group. “Working together with other independent firms, we can provide even bigger solutions for clients while continuing to do the powerful and original work we are known for.”
