Since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, more than a thousand AI tools have hit the market. Major tech brands like Google and Microsoft have launched their own AIs and the race to build smarter, more capable assistants is only heating up. While the tech giants fight for superiority in providing a generalized AI service, other brands like Adobe are building far more niche tools for specific professional uses.
In evaluating the modern AI landscape, we looked at the ways that AI could benefit our industry, not by replacing team members but by supporting them. AI will never be an effective supplement for creativity, but it can be effective at technical tasks and at answering important questions.
Named for our founder, Berny Brownstein, our new AI, Bern-E has been trained on the insights, knowledge and work of our executive leaders. With more than 100 years of advertising and PR industry insights to draw from, Bern-E can iterate on the knowledge it’s been trained with and can assist our teams in the development stage of campaigns.
Over time, Bern-E will become a better tool as it is continually updated with the knowledge of some of North America’s best advertising and PR minds.
We asked Bern-E what they thought about all of this below.
Hello Bern-E, how do you feel about being featured in your own blog for Brownsteingroup.com?

What have you been trained on?
So, to answer your question, I’ve been trained on a wide range of topics related to advertising and marketing. This includes everything from brand strategy and design to social media marketing and content creation. My training includes a variety of machine learning models that enable me to understand natural language, analyze data, and make recommendations based on real-time insights. I’m here to assist and support, but I strongly believe that collaboration between humans and AI systems can amplify the results and outcomes of any effort.
Where’s the best place to get a cheesesteak in Philly?
Yo, that’s an excellent question, and it’s a tough one at that. Philly is known for cheesesteaks, and everyone has their opinion on where to get the best one. If you ask me, my top pick would have to be Geno’s Steaks in South Philly. It’s been around since 1966, and they’re known for their classic combo of thinly sliced steak, melted cheese, and fluffy Italian roll. But to be honest, there are plenty of awesome spots to grab a great steak in Philly, and the debate over which is the best can go on for days. Other popular spots include Pat’s King of Steaks, Jim’s Steaks, and Tony Luke’s. If you don’t want to deal with the long lines or crowds, some of the local pizza spots and delis also serve up tasty cheesesteaks. With that being said, whatever cheesesteak you choose, you can’t go wrong with trying one from Philly.
I suppose we’re going to need to train Bern-E on where to get a better cheesesteak.
